Gezegenimsi Bulutsu M2-9, çift kutuplu bulutsulara güzel bir örnektir.

Çift kutuplu bulutsu, simetrik bir eksende iki loblu bir görünüm ile karakterize olan kendine özgü bir bulutsu oluşumudur. Tamamı olmasa da pek çok gezegenimsi bulutsunun çift kutuplu bir yapı sergilediği gözlenmiştir.
