Afrika Bambaataa (d. 19 Nisan 1960), ABD'li DJ. South Bronx, New Yorkludur ve 1980'lerde hip hop müziğinin gelişiminde rol almıştır.[1] Afrika Bambaataa, break-beat DJ'liğin mucitlerinden biridir[2] ve Evrensel Hip Hop Kültürünün ve Elektro Funk Soundunun "babası" sayılmaktadır. Black Spades çetesi üyesi olan Afrika Bambaataa, hip hop kültürünün tüm dünyada yayılmasını amaçlayan Universal Zulu Nation'ın da kurucusudur.[3] 27 Eylül 2007'de Rock and Roll Hall of Fame'e dahil edilmek üzere aday gösterildi.[4]
