David Frederick Attenborough (8 Mayıs 1926), İngiliz yayıncı ve natüralist.

Doğa tarihi programlarının yüzü ve sesi olarak kariyerine 50 yıldan fazla süredir devam etti. Frederick, gezegen üzerindeki tüm yaşamı kapsamlı bir araştırma ile, BBC Doğal Tarih Birimi ile birlikte, dokuz Life serisinin yazıp sunulması ile bilinir. Frederick, BBC Two ve 1960 ve 1970'li yıllarda BBC Televizyonu'nda programlama müdürü kontrolörü olarak hizmet ederek aynı zamanda BBC'de eski bir üst düzey yönetici olmuştur.

Kendisi ünvanı umursamıyor olsa da Attenborough yaygın olarak, İngiltere'de bir milli hazine olarak kabul edilir. Frederick, yönetmen, yapımcı ve aktör Richard Attenborough'un kardeşidir.
