Philipp Melanchthon (aslen Philipp Schwartzerdt; d. 16 Şubat 1497 Bretten; ö. 19 Nisan 1560 Wittenberg) filolog, filozof, Hümanist, teolog, ders kitabı yazarı ve şair. Martin Luther'in Alman ve Avrupa Reformuna katkıda bulunan Melanchthon Almanya'nın öğretmeni anlamına gelen "Praeceptor Germaniae" lakabıyla da bilinir.
