Sanayi toplumu

Sanayi toplumu, üretim süreçlerinin ön plana çıktığı, fabrika ve tesisler, sanayi ürünlerinin ekonominin temelini teşkil ettiği bir toplumdur. Sanayi toplumları Sanayi Devrimi'nden sonra batıda gelişmiştir ve modern ve endüstri öncesi çağın tarım toplumlarının yerini almıştır. Sanayi toplumları genellikle kitle toplumlardır ve daha sonra bilgi toplumuna dönüşebilmektedirler. Genellikle geleneksel toplumlarla tezat oluştururlar.[1]
