The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D; yapım aşamasındaki, ABD yapımı, üç boyutlu korku filmidir. Filmin yönetmenliğini John Luessenhop üstlenmiştir. Senaryosunu Debra Sullivan ve Adam Marcus yazmıştır. Sonraki senaryo taslakları ise Kirsten Elms ve Luessenhop'a aittir. Film, Teksas Katliamı serisinin yedinci filmidir ve 1974 tarihli ilk filmin devam bölümü niteliğindedir.[1] Filmin çekimleri 2011 yılının Temmuz ayının sonlarında başlamıştır.
Kasım 2010'da filmin, ilk filmin ardından meydana gelen olayları konu alacağı bildirilmiştir.[2] Temmuz 2011'da Heather isimli bir kızın Deri Surat'ın da içinde bulunduğu bir miras işi için arkadaşları ile Teksas'a gezi düzenlemesini konu alacağı bildirilmiştir.[3]

- Shaun Sipos as Darryl, "a hitchhiker along for the ride who knows more than he lets on".

- Paul Rae as Burt Hartman, the town mayor
- Scott Eastwood as Deputy Carl Hartman, "a young officer who is battling a powerful attraction to Heather while hunting Leatherface"
- Richard Riehle as Farnsworth, the Sawyers family attorney
- Dan Yeager as Leatherface
- Bill Moseley as Drayton Sawyer; Moseley played Chop Top in the 1986 sequel The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2. Jim Siedow played the Drayton Sawyer in the first two films.[3]
- John Dugan as Grandpa Sawyer
Gunnar Hansen will have a cameo in the film. Hansen portrayed Leatherface in the 1974 original. Marilyn Burns who played the original film's lead character, Sally, will also have a cameo. Tobe Hooper, director of the 1974 original will have a cameo.

In January 2007, when asked if a third film continuing the plot of the 2006 remake, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning was in production, producer Bradley Fuller stated that there were no future plans for Platinum Dunes to continue the franchise.[5] In October 2009, Twisted Pictures landed a deal with the The Texas Chainsaw Massacre rights-holders Bob Kuhn and Kim Henkel after discussions with Platinum Dunes fell apart. The deal is for multiple films.[6] Carl Mazzocone signed on to produce The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D, with Avi Lerner and Mark Burg serving as executive producers.[7] It was written by Debra Sullivan and Adam Marcus, with later drafts by Kirsten Elms and John Luessenhop.[1] Luessenhop will also direct.[3]
The film moved into pre-production in June 2011.[7][8] Principal photography began in late July 2011 at Millennium Studios in Shreveport, Louisiana.[9][10] The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D is scheduled to be released on October 5, 2012.[1][8] Lionsgate has the United States distribution rights and Nu Image will handle international sales beginning at the Cannes Film Festival.[7]
