Uzun dönem; ekonomide üreticinin üretim için kullandığı bütün girdi (üretim faktörleri: emek, sermaye, yer) miktarlarını değiştirebileceği uzunluktaki zaman periyodunu tanımlar. Kısa dönemde sermaye, teknoloji, yer sabit, sadece kapasite kullanımı değişkenken; uzun dönemde hepsi değişkendir.
