İyodat

İyodat anyonu, IO3−

İyodat, kimyasal formülü IO3− olan bir iyodik asit tuzudur.[1] İyodat anyonunda iyot üç oksijen atomuna bağlıdır. İyodatın moleküler geometrisi üç köşeli piramittir.

İyodat periyodatın thioether ile indirgenmesi sonucunda elde edilebilir. Bu tepkimenin yan ürünü sülfoksittir.[2]

İyodatlar bu grubu içeren bir kimyasal bileşikler sınıfıdır. Sodyum iyodat (NaIO3), gümüş iyodat (AgIO3) ve kalsiyum iyodat (Ca(IO3)2) bazı iyodat örnekleridir.
