Australopithecine

Australopithecine, Australopithecus ve Paranthropus cinsler için kullanılan terim. Buzul Çağı'nda ortaya çıkan bu türlerin iki ayak üzerinde durabilme yetisi ve ağız yapısı insanlara benzer. Beyinleri ise Homo cinsindeki ensefalizasyondan farklı olarak daha küçüktür.[1]
