Michael George Ansara (d. 15 Nisan 1922 – ö. 31 Temmuz 2013), Suriye doğumlu ABD'li tiyatro, perde, sinema, dizi ve seslendirme sanatçısı. "Julius Caesar", "Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea", "The Greatest Story Ever Told" ve "The Comancheros" filmlerinin yanı sıra "Broken Arrow", "Law of the Plainsman", "I Dream of Jeannie," "Hawaii 5-0" ve "Murder, She Wrote" dizilerinde de rol almıştı. 1976 yılı yapımı Çağrı filminde Ebu Süfyan'ı canlandırmıştır.

Gençliği ve kariyeri

Ansara Suriye'de küçük bir köyde doğdu ve iki yaşında iken ailesi Amerika Birleşik Devletleri'ne göç etti. Onlar Kaliforniya'ya geçmeden önce on yıl boyunca Massachusetts'de, Lowell'de ikamet ettiler. Aslında bir doktor olmak istemiş, ama utangaçlığının üstesinden gelmek için oyunculuk dersleri almaya başlayan Ansara, sonradan bir sanatçı olmak için tutkusunu geliştirmiştir. Ansara, Los Angeles City College'da eğitim görerek Sanatlar lisansı derecesi almıştır.

Ansara 1950'li yıllarda, Alfred Hitchcock Presents'da birkaç bölümde ortaya çıktı.

Ödülleri

Ansara, Bilim Kurgu Ödülü Akademi ödülüne aday gösterildi ve Rawhide dizinde ki başarısından dolayı Western Heritage Ödülünü kazandı ve ünlü Hollywood Bulvarı'nda bir yıldız almıştır.

Özel hayatı

Ansara, üç kez evlendi. 1955 yılında Jean Byron ile ilk evliliğini yaptı fakat çift bir yıl sonra 1956 yılında boşandılar. 1958 yılında, Ansara durum komedisi serisi I Dream Jeannie dizisinden tanıştığı Barbara Eden ile evlendi. Çiftin 1965 yılında doğan Matthew adında bir oğlu oldu. Ansara ve Eden 1974 yılında boşandılar ve 1977 yılında Beverly Kushida ile evlendi. 25 Haziran 2001 tarihinde, oğlu Matthew, Kaliforniya'da, Monrovia'da aşırı doz uyuşturucudan öldü. Ansara, Kaliforniya'da Calabasas'da ikamet etti. Ansara 91 yaşında, 31 Temmuz 2013 tarihinde, Calabasas'taki evinde uzun bir hastalık sonrasında öldü.[1]
