Birmingham Üniversitesi, batı İngiltere'nin iç kısımlarında Birmingham'da bulunan Red Brick tarzı bir üniversitedir. Mason Bilim Akademisi'nin bir devamı olarak 1900'de Edgbaston'da kuruldu. Kökeni 1825'e, Birmingham Tıp Akademisine kadar uzanmaktadır.[4] Kaynaklarda, Bir Kraliyet sözleşmesiyle Red Brick tarzı üniversitelerin ilki olduğu söylenir.[5]
