Madonna'nın 1980'lerin ortasındaki moda tarzı pek çok kızın kendisini taklit etmesine yol açtı.

Madonna wannabe, ayrıca Madonnabe, 1980'lerde kadınlar (bazen erkekler) arasında pop yıldızı Madonna gibi giyinme trendi. Terim Mayıs 1985'te yazar John Skow tarafından kaleme alınan Time kapağındaki sanatçı ile ilgili hikâyeden sonra popüler oldu.[1] Trend yok olduktan sonra eleştirmenler ve gazeteciler Madonna'yı tarz veya müzikal olarak taklit eden kadın şarkıcıları Madonna wannabe olarak nitelediler.
