Sirte Muharebesi, 2011 Libya İç Savaşı'nda Ulusal Geçiş Konseyi güçlerinin Kaddafi yanlılarının elinde kalan son şehirlerden olan Sirte'yi ele geçirmek üzere düzenlediği hücumlarla başlayan bir muharebeydi. Eylül 2011 itibarı ile Kaddafi güçlerinin elinde kalan son iki şehir Sirte ve Beni Velid'di ve Kaddafi'nin memleketi ile Trablus'un düşmesinin ardından başkent ilan ettiği Sirte'nin düşmesiyle iç savaşın biteceği düşünülüyordu.[25] Muharebe 42 yıllık Kaddafi rejiminin tamamen yok oluşuna yol açtı[26] ve Muammer Kaddafi şehirden kaçmaya çalışırken yaralandı ve ele geçirildi. Kaddafi bir saat kadar sonra hayatını kaybetti.

Bir aydan uzun bir süre süren çatışmalarda pek çok bina tamamen veya kısmen yıkıldı ve Sirte şehri harabeye döndü.[27]
